The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda have implemented the National Education Policy- 2020 from the academic year 2023-24 onwards. The implementation is based on the guidelines and undergraduate curriculum and credit framework as given by the Government of Gujarat which takes into consideration all the aspects emphasied in NEP. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the University conducted several webinars to update the various stakeholders of the University about the NEP. The various initiatives taken by the Maharaja Sayajirao University have been aligned with the action points recommended for the implementation of NEP.

- The University is offering courses related to Indian Knowledge System which is embedded in the curriculum]
- Centre of Indic Studies and Sayaji Pratishthan of the University contribute towards IKS in terms of publications and research
- The University has departments of various languages like Sindhi, Urdu, French, German, Gujarati, Hindi, Sanskrit etc. There is a full-fledged sanskrit college at the University.
- Oriental Institute is a repository of rare various manuscripts, which rarely exists in various Universities.
