Over the span of six decades, the university has remained steadfast in upholding rigorous standards in higher education, concurrently promoting scholarly research, and expanding its educational outreach to all segments of society, including tribal communities.
The university's institutional framework comprises 11 faculties, housing 27 Post Graduate Departments located on the campus, offering 95 academic programs and over 600 certificate courses, each enriched with various areas of specialization. Additionally, VNSGU administers 19 doctoral programs, providing a platform for advanced research expertise.
The university also supervises 56 PG Teaching Centers and 5 Research Centers strategically spread across the South Gujarat region, with more than 5 Lakh students participating in university examinations annually.
VNSGU actively engages in entrepreneurship and innovation through its involvement in the Startup and Innovation Project, boasting 3 granted patents and 8 others registered.
The university proactively implemented the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, achieving the distinction of being India's foremost university for registering students and uploading credits on the Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) portal.
